HUPHAR  Young Pharmacologist Researcher Application – 2024

In 2024, our Society will again announce its Young Pharmacologist Researcher Award for young members who are successfully working in the field of pharmacology and drug discovery. The criteria and rules for the application are as follows:

The application must be based on a first-authored (or shared first-authored) experimental or clinical pharmacology publication published or accepted for publication in 2024, in Hungarian or English. Briefly (max. 1-2 pages) describe the aim of the research, its results, its scientific significance, its potential further utility, clearly indicating and highlighting the applicant’s own work in the overall project.

Please attach the published/accepted communication to the application.

Conditions of submission (to be stated by the applicant in the covering letter):

  • the applicant is under 35 years of age or will be 35 years old in 2024
  • paid membership fees for 2023 and 2024 (to be verified by the Secretariat)
  • details of the applicant’s place of work, postal address, telephone number and e-mail address

Please send the application in pdf format, signed in one file, to Prof. Dr. Zsuzsanna Helyes, Secretary General of the HUPHAR, at the e-mail addresses [email protected] and [email protected]. The subject of the e-mail should be “Youth Application 2024” and the name of the applicant should be added.

The final deadline for submissions is 15 January 2025. Late submission will result in the rejection of the application.

The HUPHAR Executive Board will set up a three-member evaluation committee to evaluate the proposals, whose work will be coordinated by the Secretary General. Winning applications and rankings will be decided by secret ballot by the MFT Bureau. The announcement of the results will be made at the 2025 General Assembly and the award ceremony will take place at the HUPHAR-2025 Conference in Mátraháza, Hungary, 4-6 June 2025. The winners of the competition will receive a certificate of honour from the HUPHAR. The first prize winner will receive a cash prize of HUF 200,000, the second prize winner HUF 150,000 and the third prize winner HUF 100,000, which will be paid in the form of a grant after the conclusion of a grant contract with the MFT.
