„Pisztrángos-tó-Kékes” tour (15 km, 613 m elevation, 4 and a half hour)
Our excursion starts in front of the Hotel Ózon. We follow the yellow sign towards Mátraháza, then we can make a small detour to Kecske-bérc. The Kékes and Mátra Hospitals are clearly visible from here.
We arrive at Mátraháza at the yellow and yellow cross signs. We continue our journey on the yellow, blue and red signs, and then only on the blue and red signs to the Vörösmarty tourist house. Here we choose the red cross sign, which we follow to Pisztrángos Lake. From here we turn to the ascent towards Kékes. The blue cross sign leads through the place called Gabi’s death (where a cartman named Gabi once fell into the deep with the cart) to the saddle of the Sötét-lápa. Leaving the saddle of Sötét-lápa, our path becomes steeper and we reach Kékestető.
From the saddle, the blue and yellow lane sign takes us up to Kékestető, where we arrive at the TV tower and the stone marking the peak.
From here, our path leads steeply downhill in some places, continuing to follow the blue sign to the valley of the Somor stream. Following the blue lane, we return to Mátraháza, then to the Ózon Hotel by following the yellow and yellow cross signs from Kecske-bérc.
The tour is 15 km long, with an elevation of 613 m and duration of 4 and a half hours (calculated without breaks).
Recommended equipment: comfortable shoes (ideally hiking boots), at least half a liter of water, raincoat and backpack. Everyone participates in the tour at their own risk. The hiking route may change depending on the actual weather and terrain conditions.
