1st EV4 Conference

Welcome

The Hungarian Extracellular Vesicles Section is pleased to announce the organization of a joint Central European conference, EV4, in cooperation with the V4 partner countries, which will bring together the Czech, Polish, Slovak and Hungarian scientific societies of extracellular vesicle research. The conference will be held on 21–22 October 2026 in Budapest, Hungary.

As the first conference of its kind in the Central European region, this event serves as a dynamic platform for researchers and industry representatives to meet and share their knowledge and expertise, offering a unique opportunity for regional scientific exchange and cooperation. The program will cover a wide range of topics related to extracellular vesicles, including basic research, methodological developments, clinical applications and translational approaches. By presenting the latest scientific results and technological innovations, the conference aims to highlight the growing importance of extracellular vesicle research in biomedicine.

The central objective of the meeting is to facilitate the exchange of experiences and best practices among participants from the V4 countries. Through keynote speeches, oral presentations, poster sessions and interactive discussions, the conference will have the opportunity to engage in meaningful scientific dialogue and gain new perspectives on the current challenges and emerging opportunities in the field.

In addition to knowledge sharing, the conference will place great emphasis on fostering new collaborations and strengthening existing regional partnerships. By creating an environment conducive to networking and idea generation, the organizers aim to support the initiation of joint research projects, cross-border initiatives and long-term scientific collaborations. Special attention will be paid to encouraging the active participation of early-career researchers and the establishment of professional networks.

The ultimate goal of the conference is to facilitate the emergence of a cohesive Central European extracellular vesicle research community by synchronizing regional capacities, efforts and needs and to realize synergies. By coordinating efforts and combining expertise across countries, the initiative aims to enhance the region’s international visibility and competitiveness in this rapidly developing field.
